  WE ARE ALL ARTISTS
I believe anyone can learn to draw. It is this belief that forms the foundation for the art lessons that I offer. Creating art may come easier to some than others, but just like developing the skills to play an instrument, if you have the desire to learn, and the dedication to practice, you can learn to express your world and ideas through the visual arts.

The curriculum for the art lessons I offer is developed based on your interests and the instruction I feel that you need to achieve success in expressing those interests. Art lessons are offered year round and students are encouraged to work toward and participate in group shows and projects.

In the past, projects have included public murals, figure drawing classes, and landscape painting fieldtrips. Exhibits have taken place at the Triangle Gallery (a youth gallery hosted by the Seattle YMCA), Seattle's Best Coffee, and the Seattle Art Museum

I am happy to work with any age group, but feel that art instruction, as opposed to art facilitation, is best started after age 8. If you are interested in working as a team with me to facilitate creative development with younger children, I offer guidance to parents for fun, success oriented, age-appropriate projects and materials, as well as hands-on workshops for parents and kids to gain comfort and confidence working independently with art at home.

For art instruction in the classroom, I am available to work with teachers in developing lessons that support and compliment their curriculum.
